Louis Saiz has been involved in architectural development and design since graduation from Pratt Institute in 1984. Lou Saiz became a registered New
York State Architect in 1988 and became registered in New Jersey as well, in 1991. On a private level, he has completed work for the Melville Corporation, Retail Division, gaining experience in institutional and
commercial projects. Lou has designed and documented a large array of residential projects as well.
In 1992, Lou joined CDI Group where over the last six years he has been able to exercise his expertise in space
utilization. The integration of design with food/retail grocery has been quite a challenge, but clients like Christy's, Shop & Go, PA, Phillips 66, Mobile Oil Asia Pacific, Van Dyne Oil, mcDonald's Corporation, and
Thornton Oil have all benefited from his knowledge and experience.
At CDI Group, Lou also had the opportunity to learn the supermarket business with such clients as Hilander of Rockford, IL and Stop & Shop of
Quincy, MA. This experience has given him a better understanding of the food/retail philosophy and how to best utilize space for maximum profit per square foot while providing the customer with a positive retail
experience.
Lou Feels strongly that retail design must be executed efficiently, and cost effectively while never dismissing the fact that there will always be the need to appeal to and tantalize the customer's senses
if you are to retain them and maximize their purchasing potential.
