For the past twenty years Michael Lorden has been a part of the retail community. Shortly after graduating high school Mike was chosen to participate in
the Management Training Program at Purity Supreme Supermarkets in Boston, Massachusetts. His entrepreneurial interest lead him to depart the organization to design and develop one of the first video rental businesses in
the state of Vermont. This venture quickly grew into the largest paid membership video outlet in the state. Looking to return to the convenience grocery industry, he purchased a small general store in central Vermont
and transformed the location into a thriving profitable business. both of these start-up businesses are successfully operating today. Mike and his family then settled in Cape Cod, ;Massachusetts where Mike was
recruited to Cumberland Farms - Gulf where he presided over one of the chain's most profitable areas. During this time he earned both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Anna Maria College.
With Mike's extensive start-up and operations experience he was recruited to the international design and consulting firm, The CID Group in New York, New York as Manager of Marketing Services. The position
responsibilities included: design input, equipment specification, marketing program development, store merchandising and space-planning activities, operational evaluation and employee training program development as
well as hands-on program implementation for a number of the most recognizable names in the Convenience and Petroleum industry.
Since departing the CDI Group Michael has completed a number of expansion, design and
operational restructure projects with regional operators in New York and Hawaii.
Michael brings a wealth of practical knowledge, hands-on operational and start-up experience, and "outside the box" thinking
to Retail Management and Design.
